Originally from upstate New York and now living in Portland, OR, I have spent months at a time living on the the road, exploring America’s diverse and changing landscapes through camping, WWOOFing on farms, and in intentional communities.
My deep-rooted interests in climate change and nature-based lifestyles led me to study and practice primitive living skills, wild edible and medicinal plants, and permaculture/sustainable agriculture.
I have drawn upon all of these experiences to weave this adventure story through American landscapes, imagined into the future.
I've practiced yoga and meditation since 2002, when I began my interest and studies in many metaphysical topics.
I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in 2012, and have taught meditation and mindfulness in classrooms, and led public and private earth-based group rituals.
Currently based in Portland, OR, I enjoy bike rides, creative events, urban farming, attending local writing groups, tabletop games, dancing, and re-learning to roller skate.
I've been active connecting on BlueSky, with over 3k followers in the writing, solarpunk, permaculture, meditation, and magical communities.
A public schoolteacher since 2008, I have always had a passion for increasing equity in schools.
Teaching all subjects and specializing in math and health, I've integrated disaster preparedness, mindfulness, art, and tech into my courses.
